I. JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the Youth Ministry of the Church (teens and college students) including outreach, evangelism and discipleship as directed by the Senior Pastor and the Board of Youth
II RESPONSIBILITIES:
R1. Provide leadership to the Youth Ministry of the Church.
T.1 Provide direction and guidance to the youth ministry in line with the doctrinal beliefs, vision, mission, and strategic focus of the church.
T.2 Provide regular information to the congregations on programmes and activities of the youth ministry.
T.3 Undertake regular monitoring and evaluation of the youth ministry and provide feedback/input to the Senior Pastor and the Board of Youth for continuous improvement of the ministry.
T.4 Guide and direct prayer forums and meetings for the youth ministry.
R2. Organise and coordinate Youth Ministry programmes and activities.
T.1 Ensure that the church has developed materials, aids and approaches that make the Bible youth friendly and make the principles from the Bible relevant to their lives.
T.2 Coordinate Sunday service programmes for the youth.
T.3 Ensure availability of adequate resource materials for the youth programmes.
T.4 Ensure recruitment and training of adequate volunteer workers for the ministry.
T.5 Oversee youth camps.
T.6 Oversee discipleship classes for the youth.
T.7 Conduct Holy Communion services.
T.8 Conduct wedding services.
T.9 Conduct funeral and burial services.
T.10 Facilitate visitation ministry to youth and their families in times of need.
R3. Manage networking and collaboration on Youth Ministry.
T.1 Actively participate in the inter-church youth rallies.
T.2 Maintenance of good public relations, networking and collaboration with other like-minded churches and Christian organisations.
R4. Coordinate the overall administrative responsibilities of the Youth Ministry.
T.1 Support the Board of Youth in the development of annual plans and budgets for youth ministry.
T.2 Ensure that the youth ministry adheres to the standards of the church in all aspects.
T.3 Manage the pool of volunteers in the ministry and coordinate various functions including annual retreat, annual prayer day, departmental monthly meetings and Departmental Heads meetings.
T.4 Facilitate hospitality ministry to the youth and their parents.
T.5 Supervise other staff working within the Department.
T.6 Attend to general and miscellaneous issues relating to youth that come up from time-to-time.
R5. Participate in church ceremonies and ordinances.
T.1 Participate in administration of Holy Communion.
T.2 Participate in the pulpit ministry.
T.3 Assist the Senior Pastor in delegated/assigned duties.
R6. Perform any other individual duties as may be defined and assigned by the Senior Pastor and the Board of Youth from time-to-time.
III KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

(a) Level of Education/Academic Qualification
Masters degree in Theology.
(b) Specialised Training/Professional Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent in the area of ministry
(c) Other Competencies/Abilities/Skills Required
· Strong leadership skills.
· Strong interpersonal and inter-cultural skills.
· Good command in communication.
· High personal standards.
· Able to work with minimal supervision.
· Strong interest to work with the youth.
(d) Relevant Job Experience
At least 5 years experience in similar ministry

V. AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING
The position involves making decisions within the doctrines and beliefs of the church, existing policies and procedures, and making recommendations to the Senior Pastor and the Board of Youth as deemed appropriate.
VI. SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
The nature of the job requires the Pastor to work long and odd hours.
